Our Founder
Apostle M.
Adrienne Hawthorne founded
Apostles Today in 2000. Adrienne's fatal car accident on October
23rd, 2002 took her from the responsibilities of running her ministry in
Rochester, New York as well as the Apostles Today
e-mail list.
However, the heartbeat of what God started through her continues to live.
Bret Wade, her
apostle and spiritual
father, assumed her
ministry positions to perpetuate the work that she had begun at the Lord's
direction and Adrienne's request. Her
ministry included a
prophetic school, a newly established church
and this forum.
Apostle Hawthorne displayed a tremendous grace
to network apostles and prophets of the Lord Jesus Christ. Adrienne ministered in
churches, conferences, workshops and various other meetings. Leaders were
drawn to her and responded to her grace gifting.
Adrienne could also be found on her laptop computer into the early hours
of the morning giving of herself to help advance the apostolic cause.
Her mentoring was accomplished through her prophetic schools, e-mail,
phone, publishing website articles, instant messenger, chat rooms and live
online broadcasts. A favoured saying of hers was, "A baby's got to do what a baby's got to do!"
The team of apostles that
moderate this domain plan on keeping Adrienne's spirit of mutual
impartation alive by providing a place for those interested in the
apostolic to network and be mentored through the grace of God.
Bret Wade
From
2002 Bret Wade took up the banner of Apostles Today. Bret is an Apostle
with an extensive network of Apostles and ministers across the world.
Bret’s purpose is one of mentoring, training and sending ministers;
networking ministries; planting and strengthening churches. His
mandate from God is to "equip equippers" and
to "build strong soldiers for the twenty-first century".
This is partly achieved by assisting ministers in establishing
their churches in present truth and the current season of God.
Bret
and Teresa Wade serve as an apostle and prophetess team
to
Realm Ministries. They are parenting sons and daughters
and partnering in covenant relationships through divine
connections. Their home base is located in Huntsville, Alabama
where they reside along with their two children, Jessica and Jonathan.
Kenn and Lee
Bacon On the 9th of October
2007, Bret passed the baton to Lee Bacon after the Lord impressed upon him
that Lee loved His people and would always have their best interests at
heart.
At Lee's request Kenn successfully developed the social network for the
Apostles Today fellowship as a further tool for the building of
connectivity and relationships among the ministers. Kenn had been
diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil and was told he had three months to
live. By God's grace Kenn lived almost four years after his diagnosis
and faithfully served this fellowship and his Pastors lists, with not
only his computer skills but also his love and compassion for the
ministers needs at every level. He often called, prayed with and
encouraged men and women from all over the world whenever they were in
need. He would say "If we help one person keep going, who then ministers
to 20, 50, or 100 people we have effectively ministered to the others." Kenn graduated to heaven on 12th February 2010 and will be missed and
fondly remembered. |
